Parr Motorsport’s Ben Barker suffered a frustrating race one at a damp Brands Hatch this morning. A poor getaway off the line meant he dropped to sixth from his fourth place starting position. Despite having a mid race scrap with Porsche Scholarship driver Dan Lloyd and taking holding fifth for some time, he eventually dropped back to finish in sixth. “Lloyd had so much more drive out of the corners, he was so much quicker I just couldn’t hold on when someone has got a car like that.” Said Ben

“It was pretty bad,” commented Ben. “We struggled with the front end of the car, we had a lot of over-steer and I couldn’t prize any speed out of it. It’s so frustrating when you’re not attacking and your defending and when a championship is at stake as well. A very frustrating race but we’re going to change the car and go out and be strong in the next one.”

“Really tough race, conditions were really rough.” Added Paul Robe. “Unfortunately we lost the fourth that I thought we were going to get but were ready for the next one.
