Mark Cole in qualifying at Brands HatchA tough qualifying session for the final two rounds of the 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup season will see both the Parr Motorsport driver qualifying below their usual positions when they line up on the gird for Sunday’s races.

Paul Rees, who qualified three tenths of a second off pole position last time out at Silverstone will line up in tenths for both races after a tough final session under grey skies with the treat of rain. Mark Cole felt comfortable in his blue N&C branded car and running well. Unfortunately he was not able to coax the time out of the car and will line up fifth on the grid in Proam1 for both races.

“We’re a little bit disappointed,” said team boss Paul Robe. “We’ve got to analyse the data and find out why Paul (Rees) didn’t find time in the second set of tyres. Obviously where he’s starting from tomorrow, it’ll be tough but he’s a good racer. Hopefully we’ll see him move up the grid and improve.”

“Mark has struggled a bit here this weekend and wants to try and improve his technique. Obviously he’s got to fight for his position tomorrow. He’s very close to his championship rivals in his class and therefore, he’s got it all to race for. Mark is a really good racer and I’m sure we’ll see some fun racing and good work from him tomorrow. It’s really important because we want to see him keep his third place in Pro-Am 1.“
