Australian racer Richard Denny will return to the Porsche Carrera Cup championship for the final two rounds starting at Silverstone next weekend. Richard finished third in the 2011 Pro-Am2 standings and will return to Parr Motorsport having spent 2012 competing the Maserati Trofeo World Series.

“Running in the Maserati Trofeo has been a great learning experience with a new car and new circuits but I’m excited to be returning to the Carrera Cup,” said Richard. “I really like Silverstone and I won last year on the Brands GP track so I’m really looking forward to coming back in to the championship and competing with old friends.“

“We’re very happy to be running Richard again in the cup car,” added Parr Motorsport team boss Paul Robe. “He’s been racing the Maserati this year which is a very different car but we’re confident he will be competitive on his return and be able to help us out in the teams championship.”

Richard currently lies 6th in the Maserati Trofeo World Series drivers standings, having netted a brace of seventh places in last weekend’s race at Sonoma in California.
