2007 British porsche carrera cup round 1

With the fastest ever Carrera Cup lap of Brands Hatch, Tim Harvey stormed to pole position for the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB today (Saturday 31 March). After terrible conditions in pre-race testing on Friday, the weather was bright and dry for the half-hour qualifying session.
 
With a tremendous run in qualifying, Harvey (Red Line Racing) dominated the session and was four-tenths clear of the pack. "That's quite good," he said with a smile. "I'm very pleased. We wanted to be on the front row and we're now leading the championship!" The point for pole position means that Harvey leads the points' table ahead of the opening race later this afternoon.
