Impressive opening pace from Barker in free practice

Ben Barker was immediately on the pace on his first visit to the famous Le Mans circuit to net second place behind fellow Supercup driver Earl Bamber. The Oxford based driver returns to Parr Motorsport with whom he won the opening rounds of the Carrera Cup in the guest car. Ben’s pace put him clear of Carrera Cup GB rival Michael Meadows by one and a half seconds.

In contrast to the previous days, the circuit was doused in water after an early morning rain shower. The weather perked up after that allowing the track to dry out for the start of the race.

Henney takes debut win at Donington

Peter Kyle-Henney claimed his first Porsche Carrera Cup GB ProAm2 win this afternoon at Donington Park. The Hampshire-based driver drove a controlled race to claim top honours whilst team-mate Max Coates had a more fraught Carrera Cup debut. The 20-year-old bogged down badly at the start and dropped to the back of the field by the first corner.

Parr show qualifying strength

Coates lined up for Porsche Guest drive at Donington

Kyle-Henney to make Carrera Cup debut

Peter Kyle-Henney will graduate up to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this year following the introduction of the brand new 991-model type. Parr Motorsport will run the Hampshire based driver who only started racing last year. He competed in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge taking a win at Brands Hatch in the process. Prior to that Peter had years of track day experience in his 997 Cup car.
