Parr Motorsport are optimistic heading into tomorrow’s Carrera Cup GB race. Both Sean Hudspeth and Peter Kyle-Henney start from third in Pro Am1 and Pro Am2 respectively, which puts them in prime position to take a good points haul and podiums tomorrow.

Points and a podium for Parr at Knockhill

Mark Cole claimed second place in ProAm1 for his second visit to the podium in 2015 with Dino Zamparelli and Paul Rees scoring solid points.

The Parr Motorsport team enjoyed a strong performance in the opening race of the Knockhill weekend as the cars went out onto a damp track after it rained overnight. All the cars started the race on slick tyres and did very well to avoid contact in the opening laps on the greasy surface.

Double podium for Parr at Knockhill

Pepe Massot took his second overall podium of his short Porsche Carrera Cup GB career at Knockhill when he crossed the line to take third place in round thirteen of the championship. The Spaniard benefited from countryman Victor Jimenez’s misfortune when he was not able to make it to the grid. Pepe made the most of the opportunity though to take a well deserved trophy.

Competitive outing at Knockhill in changeable conditions

The rain came down an hour before the qualifying session began, soaking the tracks and pretty much everything else. It eased up by the start of the session but the track was still sodden and it was definitely going to be a wet tyre affair. By mid-session the sun was shining and warming up the assembled masses of mechanics and other championship personnel.

Productive and fast day at Knockhill

Parr Motorsport enjoyed a very positive day at Knockhill in preparation for rounds twelve and thirteen of the Porsche Carrera Cup this weekend. The unpredictability of the weather threw a curve ball at proceedings with session one being dry and session two being wet. Session two dried towards the end however meaning all the runners could bolt in slick tyres.
