In contrast to the previous days, the circuit was doused in water after an early morning rain shower. The weather perked up after that allowing the track to dry out for the start of the race.

Henney takes debut win at Donington

Peter Kyle-Henney claimed his first Porsche Carrera Cup GB ProAm2 win this afternoon at Donington Park. The Hampshire-based driver drove a controlled race to claim top honours whilst team-mate Max Coates had a more fraught Carrera Cup debut. The 20-year-old bogged down badly at the start and dropped to the back of the field by the first corner.

Parr show qualifying strength

Qualifying for rounds three and four got underway in cool but dry conditions at Donington Park today. Guest driver Max Coates was clearly fired up for his first qualifying session in the Carrera Cup. Team-mate Peter Kyle-Henney was also feeling more positive after a mixed result in Thursday’s practice sessions.

Good testing mileage at Donington

Parr Motorsport completed a successful day of testing today at Doninton park ahead of the weekend’s rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup. Peter Kyle-Henney was again out hoping for more ProAm2 silverware after making his series debut at Brands Hatch last month. Also joining him in the team was former Ginetta race winner and Porsche Guest car driver Max Coates.

Coates lined up for Porsche Guest drive at Donington

Max Coates will take over the guest driver seat for the Donington Park rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, which will again be run by Parr Motorsport. Former Carrera Cup racer Ben Barker scored a double win in the opening rounds at Brands Hatch driving the car but has now commenced his 2014 Supercup programme.
