The weather proved to be the biggest challenge to the Parr Motorsport team today as rain and cold conditions first thing gave way to snow at 9am. This led to qualifying being cancelled and the grid for race one being decided by championship order.

Paul Rees made a superb start to round fifteen from Brands Hatch in Ken to claim a top ten finish. The oxford-based driver started tenth on the grid for the penultimate race of the year but was able to drive between to cars on the row in front to claim two places off the line. He would concede one place in a battle with Stephen Jelley that ultimately affected the handling of his Porsche 991 Cup car.

Points and a podium for Parr at Knockhill

Mark Cole claimed second place in ProAm1 for his second visit to the podium in 2015 with Dino Zamparelli and Paul Rees scoring solid points.

The Parr Motorsport team enjoyed a strong performance in the opening race of the Knockhill weekend as the cars went out onto a damp track after it rained overnight. All the cars started the race on slick tyres and did very well to avoid contact in the opening laps on the greasy surface.

Solid result for Dino in race one

Dino Zamparelli scored solid points in race one of the Carrera Cup GB double-header at Snetterton.

Starting in seventh, Dino capitalised on a coming together into turn two on the opening lap when James Sutton was hit from behind by Ryan Cullen, catapulting him into Stephen Jelley. Dino was able to pick his way through the middle of the melee to claim fifth place on the opening lap.

Parr in the top ten as Kyle-Henney exits spectacularly

Dino Zamparelli and Paul Rees scored top ten finishes in round five at Oulton Park as tem mate Peter Kyle-Henney spectacularly somersaulted into retirement.

A problematic qualifying session meant Dino, Paul and Mark all lined up out of position on the grid. Paul and Mark both benefited early on with Jayde Kruger retiring with a broken driveshaft. After that the cars were all closely bunched, fighting to find the smallest of gaps to make a move.

Cole hunts down pack as Parr score solid points

Parr Motorsport’s Mark Cole staged a stunning comeback drive from the back of the grid to finish fifteenth and fifth in class. Mark followed the lead of his team-mates to score solid points for his championship challenge. Dino Zamparelli was able to convert his second row start into fifth place with fellow pro driver Paul Rees two places behind in seventh. Paul was actually demoted to eighth by Ryan Cullen who took the place on the last lap, leaving the track to do so and was later dropped down the order after the race allowing Paul to reclaim seventh.
