Kyle-Henney takes ProAm2 pole with Hudspeth in top three

Peter Kyle-Henney missed taking a double ProAm2 pole position by just 0.61 of a second and so starts third for the second race at Oulton Park. The Hampshire-based driver’s fastest time however was fast enough to seal pole position for round five.It was a very impressive performance for him on his return to the scene of his epic 2015 accident where his car rolled several times after contact from a rival.

Dino Zamparelli ended his first visit to Oulton Park since 2011 with a brace of fifth places after a weekend of ups and downs for the Parr Motorsport team.

After Peter Kyle-Henney’s spectacular exit from race one, the team was reduced to three entries for pros Dino Zamparelli and Paul Rees and ProAm1 runner Mark Cole.

Parr in the top ten as Kyle-Henney exits spectacularly

Dino Zamparelli and Paul Rees scored top ten finishes in round five at Oulton Park as tem mate Peter Kyle-Henney spectacularly somersaulted into retirement.

A problematic qualifying session meant Dino, Paul and Mark all lined up out of position on the grid. Paul and Mark both benefited early on with Jayde Kruger retiring with a broken driveshaft. After that the cars were all closely bunched, fighting to find the smallest of gaps to make a move.

Smallwood takes Oulton Park double

Unfortunately for Pete this was more of a formality as his only other rival in the class, Will Goff, pulled out of the event on Thursday but as the saying goes, ‘you have to be in it to win it!’
