Barker takes Rockingham Double

Despite a downpour at lunchtime Ben Barker confounded his rivals to take a second double win of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.  The Parr Motorsport driver got a good start off the line in atrocious conditions to lead and then control the race. The safety cat was deployed at the end of the first lap to remove the stranded cars of team-mates Daniel Lloyd and Andy Meyrick who had a coming together in the spray on the lead down to the hairpin at turn 2. Ben got a good restart and soon got the gap to second placed-driver Rory Butcher up to 2.8 seconds.

Barker makes it three on the Trot

Parr Motorsport’s Ben Barker led a lights to flag race to win round fifteen of the Porsche Carrera Cup at Rockingham today.  He got a good start to fend off a strong challenge from second placed Jonas Gelzinis but closed the Lithuanian driver off at the hairpin and from them on was able to control the race, setting a new lap record in the process.

A good day's work

Parr Motorsport team boss said he is happy with the day’s work today at Rockingham as the team prepare for rounds fifteen and sixteen of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Lead driver Ben Barker set a blistering pace to claim fastest overall time in the fiercely competitive one make championship.
